Spring Wedding with Opulence

Azola & Zachary

The ENTIRE DESIGN CONCEPT: A dazzling celebration showcased by so many details and so many elements for Azola & Zachary’s special day. This was a high profile wedding and I was very fortunate to have been part of the Yes! Events team to assist in pulling this off. The theme was Ombre consisting of 3 main colours; white, pink and red. The flows of colours were incredible, and I will definitely say that Yes! Flowers & Okasie have done a fantastic job. The sheer amount of customization and personalization that went into this wedding, from the flying veil, stationery, table names, table seating, entertainment like white jumping castles (for adults), all-white petting zoo, artists, rotating 10-tier wedding cake, massive hanging roof installation and a flow of orchids and hydrangeas out of a white baby grand piano. You had to be there to truly experience this incredible wedding.

Our EXPERT ADVICE: No element is too big or too small to be completely personalized. Customization can take your wedding day to a whole new level. Personalization is what can really set it apart from any other celebration and that is exactly what we want and what we are going for.

If you want something different dare to dream and we will make it happen.

Classic Soft Elegance

Tanisha & Louis

The ENTIRE DESIGN CONCEPT:  Soft coloured flowers, lots of candles & nude colour linen to create the most romantic wedding celebration. The combination of white, blush pink, greens and a touch of gold brought something extremely magical in the Tuscany themed venue. The stationery was handmade calligraphy from the talented Susan Brand and pulled the entire theme together beautifully. This celebration was the perfect combination of a romantic and classical wedding.

Our Expert Advice: There is nothing wrong with choosing colours that is trendy and that everyone is using. There are always ways of still making your wedding unique and leaving your guests with a lasting impression and experience. We will not stop until we find the perfect combination and creative ideas to make it special for you and your loved ones.

Ian & Jen

We kicked off the New Year with a wedding from a very special couple – believe it or not my old boss‘s son.

Such a relaxed and easy going couple, and one of my favourite photographers, LindaVos , taking  their pictures for their special celebration with family and friends. The bride was wearing a  Vonvé Bridal Couture wedding dress and pulling it off in the most classy and sexy way ever.

The wedding was taken at the lovely estate Bona Dea Private Estate in Hermanus, South Africa, home to the bride’s parents.

The flowers & décor was beautifully done with plenty of greenery flowing from the tables. The couple handmade their thank you gifts for each guest to enjoy; their favourite – chilli paste & oil.

Thank you for spicing up my day Ian & Jen*

The Forest Wedding

Jennifer & Divan

The ENTIRE DESIGN CONCEPT: This gem of a forest wedding had an overall colour palette of dusty blue, sage and white. The couple, Jennifer & Divan loves nature and we decided to create something truly special for them. One of the key items –  wooden underplates made out of a poplar tree stump from their new bought farm. We got the wood cut, sealed and used it as underplates, afterwards the guests could take it home as a wedding guest favour, and use it as a customized cheeseboard.

For the ceremony the venue had a large door at the entrance where we added rings of greenery, the gazebo was draped with white linen and tied together with 2 floral arrangements, a 1000 origami birds were hung from the tree canopy and the final personal touch was large white, flat rocks which each guest were asked to write a message on it and put it down the aisle for the couple (which afterward they took home and arranged all the rocks around their garden).

For the reception there were two long guest tables with oxford blue-grey runners that ran across the table and scattered flower arrangements, we added hanging installations with Edison bulbs. On the other side of the venue (the venue is L-shaped) were beautiful lounge set for the buffet desserts and cake later the evening and a lovely space that overlooks the dancefloor area. Outside was 2 lounge pockets, a gin bar and 2 bon fires for guests to enjoy some S’mores for dessert & mid night snack.

Our PROFESSIONAL ADVICE: No amount of personalization is too much, the more uniquely ideas you can bring in to your wedding the bigger the impact and the more it will separate you from any other “normal” wedding. Go really personal – like create something that symbolizes you and your partner, when guests look at it they will be “this is so you..”

Be different and have fun with it!

Fleur Faire Des Folies

Kiara & George

The ENTIRE DESIGN CONCEPT: The exquisite wedding of Kiara and George took place on Spring day and you can definitely tell by the burst of flowers and colours for this stunning wedding.

The heaps of orchids, tulips, anemones and roses were adorned over the tables, flower backdrop & hanging installations. The amount of personalization and customization that went into this wedding was overwhelming. From personalized stickers under the bride and groom’s shoes, to homemade macaroons as wedding guest favours, customized t-shirts and number-plates for the cars, personalized logo which was on all stationery and on the dancefloor to a handcrafted and handwritten wedding cake.

Perfectly executed and put together by an incredible team.

Our EXPERT ADVICE: When using so much flowers for your wedding give some of the flowers to your grannies and aunts at the end of the night to remember you by, it is a small gesture but goes a long way, everyone loves beautiful flowers in their home.

Black Pastel Styled Shoot

BEHIND the DESIGN CONCEPT: With this styled shoot we aimed to show our decerning clientele how the darkest hue of them all mixed with the softest, and most colourful hues, can form the perfect combination.

We had heaps of fun styling this table and showing off different wedding dresses.

We started off with a black tablecloth and softening the black with a soft nude tule draped over the main table. We added colourful flower arrangements and beautiful coloured candles to compliment the flowers. With the stationery we decided to do something different than the norm and played with a very light grey and soft pink paper accompanied with a black tassel – I simply LOVED the result! To top it all off we added an incredible hanging installation over the main table that consisted of some dried florals and fresh colour flowers. All-and-all the final result was beautiful.

Ambient Elegance

Victoria & Justin

The ENTIRE DESIGN CONCEPT:  Our gorgeous newlyweds Victoria and Justin chose the breath-taking Intle Game Lodge for their romantic destination wedding. Victoria is so bold and beautiful and wanted something out of the box with the most interesting colours; Teal, dark orange, mustard, brown & black.

With smart planning and working closely with Yes! Exclusive flowers, we brought in flowers from across the world that has never been in South Africa before and we created something spectacular for our bride.

The tables consisted of teal tablecloths with rattan underplates, black crockery, beautiful, unique flower arrangements and coloured candles that goes with the theme and ties everything together perfectly. For the table numbers we decided to call each table after the big 5 and had golden animals indicate the table numbers along with golden stickers of each animal on every wine glass.

Our Expert Advice: When hosting an intimate wedding from abroad, you can truly create a special experience for your guests. During the guest’s stay at the lodge we have arrange for buffalo feeding, game drives, sundowners on an outlook deck etc. Keep them busy and try and arrange activities that is unique to the country they are visiting.

3 Day Wedding

Dimple & Roel

The ENTIRE DESIGN CONCEPT: This tantalising celebration consisted of 3 executive days of fun, entertainment and style for Dimple & Roel’s special wedding.

We started off with Day 1; upon arrival and check in each guest received a refreshing welcome drink, and in each guest’s room a gift basket full of goodies and the program for the next 3 days.. We started the evening off with an early wine tasting on the golf course as pre-drinks and moving toward an evening with live entertainment and local food which was a South African braai buffet (BBQ).

On Day 2 the couple had their big wedding day, a lovely breakfast for the guests, a tea break with snacks and later all guests were transported with shuttles to the venue where Nicolette Weddings took over and coordinated the rest of the day.

Day 3: Pool party (or referred to as the Hangover brunch), it was an all-white party and we had live entertainment playing (Jazz band and DJ) with a tasty buffet (hamburger sliders, salads, kebabs, and all sorts of deliciousness). Later we surprised the guests with an interactive drumming session with African drummers and Zulu dancers.

Our EXPERT ADIVICE: International guests LOVE to experience Africa and one of the favourites are Marimba bands, African Drummers or Zulu dancers. Try to bring them in during pre-drinks or if you have a 3-7 day wedding have entertainment on a few days, guests love the interactive sessions and these are pictures and an experience which they can cherish forever.
